The Western Balkans Fund, of which Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina are a part, will have an official logo prepared by a graphic designer from Kosovo, Shpat Komoni.

The latter won the main prize in the Western Balkans Fund competition for the official logo of this organization, for which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo has awarded 30,000 euros.

Meanwhile, the third prize was also won by a graphic designer, Gent Shala. 18 proposals were submitted in the regional competition, where two out of the top three places were taken by designers from Kosovo. The second place went to a designer from Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The two Kosovar winners of this competition were welcomed by the Director for Regional Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fitim Gllareva, who praised the work of the creators from Kosovo. Thanking them for their work, Gllareva said that the prizes won have also honored Kosovo.

For designers Komoni and Shala, participation and winning of these prizes is an honor and privilege for their work, but also for the country. Shpat Komoni is proud that his work has also benefited the country. “I have the honor and pleasure that this fund will be represented through the logo that I created, where I won first place. I thank the states that have selected it and have trusted me with this identity and creation that I have made for them. I am proud that it was chosen from Kosovo,” said Shpat Komoni, the first prize winner.

Meanwhile, Gent Shala also values the collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Western Balkans Fund. “This experience has been a very beautiful part of all the work we do, and of collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Western Balkans Fund. We are very proud to have participated and won as Kosovars, which is very good news for our community,” said Shala.

The Western Balkans Fund aims to promote and develop cultural cooperation; promote and develop academic exchanges, research, and cooperation in the field of education between the signatory parties; promote and develop exchanges among young people, as well as promote sustainable development among contracting parties.

The Western Balkans Fund has its headquarters in Tirana and Kosovo is an equal member at all levels in this international and regional organization.
